The outside work crew maintains the grounds and landscaping of 22 or more county locations utilizing labor from inmates and community service workers. These locations represent approximately 62 acres of land.
The daily routine for the outside crew consists of all grounds keeping; mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, weeding, and debris/trash removal. In addition the outside work crew is responsible for planting, maintaining all flower beds, and oversight on lawn sprinkler systems. As well as completing all preventative maintenance of all lawn equipment. Also, wash, clean, and detail Sheriff Administration vehicles.
Other various duties are performed when requested from not only the Sheriff’s Office, but also various county departments such as moving furniture, setting up for events, pressure washing, painting and recycling. The outside crew also assists other non-profit organizations within the county.
