The Inmate Processing Unit (IPU) includes Intake, Property, Imaging, Transport, Classification, and Bonding. The IPU is responsible for the intake, processing and release of all adult offenders committed or detained in this facility. Intake includes medical screening and risk assessment to determine the appropriate classification level and housing of inmates. The IPU initiates the development of the inmate jail records ensuring all valid and necessary information is included in the jail management system.
The Imaging section of the IPU is responsible for determining the valid identification of each inmate, the recording of photographs, fingerprints, and markings specific to each person; along with verifying and entering accurate arrest, charge, and disposition information into the State’s database.
The Property section of the IPU is responsible for the documenting and safe keeping of all offender property as well as the issuance of detention clothing and bedding items to the offender upon arrival to the Detention Facility.
