The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Bonding office employs 14 clerks, 2 civilian supervisors, and 1 Sergeant. The Bonding Office is an integral part of the Inmate Processing Unit (IPU). All releasing documents are reviewed for accuracy and processed by the Bonding office prior to an inmate’s release; whether to TDCJ, other agencies, or to the street. These documents include, but are not limited to, cash, surety, and personal bonds; Orders to Dismiss, Judgment & Sentences, and Commitments received from all Courts in Fort Bend County, Federal Courts, and when applicable, courts throughout the United States. The Bonding office is also responsible for the collection and balancing of funds for Inmate Commissary. These funds are collected in person at the Bonding office, through kiosk deposits made by phone, web, or by direct deposit into the kiosk located in the Jail lobby.
