Juvenile Matters

The County Courts at Law of Fort Bend County sit as the designated juvenile courts. Juvenile courts decide on matters involving adolescents who have not attained the age of majority. Matters handled by the juvenile courts include juvenile delinquency and issues involving children in need of supervision. Juvenile court hearings take place inside the courtroom and are formal proceedings. .

Docket Times:

Juvenile adjudication and disposition hearings are heard on designated Mondays at 9:00 A.M. Trials are heard on selected Tuesdays at 1:30 P.M. All other hearings are set at the Court’s convenience. .

Motions for Early Termination of Probation and Motions to Seal Records are set on designated Mondays at 10:00 a.m.

Detention Hearings

Unless prior permission has been obtained, detention hearings are heard by the Associate Judge. Juvenile detention hearings are heard at the Legion Drive Annex on Mondays at 1:30 P.M., on Wednesdays at 1:00 P.M., and on Thursdays at 9:00 A.M.
