Commuter Services to Downtown
Fort Bend Transit is certainly aware of the demand for commuter service from Fort Bend County, directly to the Houston Downtown area. Fort Bend County Public Transportation is working with Central Houston Inc. and the Houston Galveston Area Council, to implement services from Sugar Land to Downtown. We anticipate the services to begin late fall of 2023.
Westpark Park and Ride
Fort Bend Transit is developing a new Westpark Park-and-Ride lot along the westbound frontage road of Westpark Toll Road (FM 1093) near Cinco Ranch, approximately 10 miles southwest from the Energy Corridor. The County is evaluating options for a new commuter bus service linking the Westpark Park-and-Ride lot to the Energy Corridor and taking customers to various employment sites around the Energy Corridor area. We anticipate the services to begin mid-summer of 2023.
