What is Deferred Disposition?
In some cases, you may request deferred disposition from the Court. If you have a good driving record, and you are not currently on deferred disposition on another case, you may make a request to the Court. Deferred disposition means you will be placed on probation for a period ranging from 4 to 6 months and pay court costs and an administrative fee.

If you successfully comply with the terms of your probation without receiving a moving violation anywhere in the State of Texas, the original charge will be dismissed. Conditions of deferred disposition may include: Driving Safety Course, Alcohol or Tobacco Awareness, Community Service or any other program required by law or the Court.
Deferred Disposition is at the Judges discretion. You may appear on your court date to request Deferred Disposition from the Judge.
