Civil Division
The main function of the Civil Division is the service of civil process, such as Subpoenas, Evictions, Citations, Writs, Restraining Orders, Protective Orders plus other civil related issues.
The Civil Division also provides Bailiff Duties for the Justice of the Peace which includes maintaining order, court room security and taking people into custody at the Judge’s order. Precinct 4 oversees Bailiff Duty for two Justice of the Peace Courts in Fort Bend County.
